Hi, I’m Ellen (or Ellebelle as my sister used to call me), I love to create and craft beautiful things. It gratifies me if I’m able to make something unique.

When I was pregnant with my third child, I did a workshop on decorating a cake with sugar fondant. It inspired me to make little-babies-coming-out-of-a-cabbage presents for friends and family who came to visit my newborn son. No cupcake or cookie, just a beautiful treat made with sugar fondant.

Since then I have been baking and decorating cakes, cupcakes and cookies for my children, family and friends.

In Belgium I was a teacher but when we moved to Los Gatos, CA, I decided I wanted to do something else. With 3 kids it’s nice to be able to work at home. In the summer of 2018 we moved to Colorado where I now continue my cake business.

I use my Belgian ‘quatre-quarts’ recipes to make the cakes, this results in a moist cake with a rich flavor.  I always use local and organically produced eggs.

When you would like to order a cake, I love to hear what you like: what’s the occasion, who’s it for, what’s their favorite color, animal, theme, … This allows me to make something personal.
